I am pleased to share with you our evaluation report on the project ran with the Alzheimer’s Society in Northamptonshire. This project ran from August 2013 – May 2014…and wow what an amazing and inspiring project it has been. We were very fortunate to secure a second round of funding from Awards for All, Big Lottery Fund in 2013 to run this dance and dementia project.

The response I have received from the service-users and staff that took part has been overwhelming in a positive sense; but in equal measures, I feel the compliments need to be thrown back at them as they all showed such a great spirit of adventure to give the dance, movement and singing a go. The joy and sense of community they have as a group is strong, and I was immediately welcomed albeit I was going to make them do things they probably haven’t done in a long while…but they never failed to surprise me! We loved it! So I want to THANK everyone that took part and supported this project.
